Drake, Rihanna Get Intimate In 'Take Care' Video Stills

Black-and-white photos show the two artists reigniting their on-screen chemistry in a 'minimal' way.

Drake and Rihanna get close in the long-awaited clip for the MC's single, "Take Care," as shown in video stills that surfaced Monday (March 12).

Reigniting their on-screen chemistry, the two chart-toppers are seen holding each other before a blank backdrop. Simplicity seems to be the focus, as the duo sport plain wardrobes in the black-and-white images.

ThisIsRNB.com, which first leaked the images, revealed that the clip also features a "group of muscular male performers acting out tribal dance scenes" as well as shots of various animals moving in beat to the Jamie xx-produced tune.

News of such a minimalistic and artsy clip isn't all that surprising, as director Yoann Lemoine revealed to MTV News, "They seemed to be super close and that's what I wanted for the video. Visually, it's a very humble video. ... It's not crazy. It's actually the most indie video I've done my whole life. It's probably the most famous artists, and they were so open to a project that was so minimal."

Lemoine isn't the only one who had high expectations for the visual, but also Drake himself. Back in December, Drizzy Drake admitted that he wanted the clip to be the best of his video catalog. "I want to make it perfect — the best video I've done to date — so I'm just taking my time," he said.

"Take Care" serves as the duo's first video collaboration since Rihanna's "What's My Name?" where the pop darling takes a stroll through New York City and embarks on a flirty venture with Drake.

What do you think of the "Take Care" stills? Shakira's 'Gypsy' Gets A Boost From Rascal Flatts On 'American Idol'

Singer plays the harmonica, harmonizes with Gary LeVox for free-sprit performance.
By Katie Byrne

Shakira busted out her best Stevie Nicks ensemble during "American Idol" to perform her new single, "Gypsy," with a little help from Rascal Flatts.

The free-spirit singer — wearing a sparkly tank top, dangling earrings and a floor-length red skirt — started the song out on harmonica. During the first verse, she was joined by some interpretive backup dancers and even threw in some moves herself.

Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox then chimed in with backing vocals. As the pair harmonized, they headed to a platform behind the "Idol" judges and Shakira showed off some of her trademark hip-swiveling. She even pulled the harmonica back out to close up the song.

After the performance, host Ryan Seacrest said what most of the viewers were probably thinking: "Gary LeVox and Shakira — I never thought I'd see that!"

He also had a tough question for the Flatts frontman: "What was it like to move your hips with her?"

"I recommend to him to wear a skirt, but he refused," Shakira chimed in.

Rascal Flatts kicked off the "Idol" elimination episode by performing their new single, "Unstoppable," in place of a top-six group number.

Back in February, Shakira released a steamy video for "Gypsy" starring Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal. The video, like the song paired with it, has a much more organic vibe than other tracks from Shakira's 2009 album She Wolf. Directed by frequent Shakira collaborator Jaume de Laiguana, the video tells a love story that plays out on a desert backdrop. It's an ideal setting for the romance between the smiling Shakira and her often-shirtless tennis pro to unfold.

What did you think of Shakira's collaboration with Rascal Flatts? Wimbledon without tennis: 10 things to do

Wimbledon isn?t just a tournament, it?s a village. Here?s what to do when you?re not wondering whether Andy Murray can finally win the damn thing

For the thousands of fans who descend upon the All England Club every June, Wimbledon means one thing: tennis, namely The Championships, where the world?s top stars slug it out on the lawns of the All England Club (June 24-July 7).

But few realize that the charms of this chic southwest London ?village? extend beyond the ball courts.

What?s there to do in Wimbledon when you?re not watching tennis?

Plenty.

1. Cannizaro House

Cannizaro HouseCannizaro House: scene of a quintessentially English afternoon. Or period drama. Oscar Wilde, Henry James and Alfred Lord Tennyson are among the illustrious guests who?ve stayed at this opulent but friendly 300-year-old country house hotel.

The historic property alone is worth visiting, but it also contains the new Orangerie restaurant, with gorgeous views of the manicured lawns and flowerbeds of Cannizaro Park through its floor-to-ceiling windows.

Completing the quintessentially English scene is the afternoon tea on the menu: scones, pastries, finger sandwiches and strawberries, served with tea or champagne.

Cannizaro House, West Side Common, Wimbledon; +44 (0)20 8879 1464

2. Wimbledon Common

An oasis of woodland, heath, ponds and bird life, the vast common -- all 460 hectares of it -- is the green lung of Wimbledon and a great place to spend a few hours getting mildly lost.

In the middle of the park is the cheap and cheerful Windmill Caf, with coffee, ice cream and snacks; next door is a museum devoted to windmills and local history.

Windmill Museum

3. Buddhapadipa Temple

Buddhapadipa TempleBuddhapadipa Temple: a good spot for tourney losers to regain composure. Few Londoners know of this Buddhist temple on a leafy residential road in Wimbledon, the first to be built in the United Kingdom.

Inside (it?s open to all) you?ll find gardens -- with a ?philosophy path? meandering across wooden bridges and through stands of trees -- and a white gabled temple filled with murals depicting episodes in the life of the Buddha.

Buddhapadipa Temple, 14 Calonne Road, Wimbledon Parkside; +44 (0)20 8946 1357

4. Wimbledon Books

This small, independent bookshop -- the only one in Wimbledon -- has a strong selection of mainstream and specialist fiction, a nice range of children?s books and stationery and comfy chairs to curl up on.

The latest titles are temptingly displayed, so it?s an excellent place to discover new authors.

Wimbledon Books, 40 High St., Wimbledon; +44 (0)20 8879 3101

5. Diane Von Furstenberg and Question Air

Wimbledon Village high street is stuffed with desirable fashion boutiques.

Sample merchandise at high-end DVF includes a ?Jessi all over sequins? dress at 1,689 ($2,610), a Tonda Crustal Clutch bag for 280 ($433) and bestselling lace frocks.

A little further down the street, Question Air has plenty of designer denim among its hip fashion finds.

Question Air, 77-78 High St., Wimbledon; +44 (0)208 946 6288

6. The Lawn Bakery

The Lawn BakeryPistachio meringues are The Lawn Bakery's ace. The Lawn Bakery opened last year, a sibling to the pricier Lawn Bistro a few minutes walk from it.

Aside from the decent range of freshly made snacks, light meals and pastries, the bakery does a good breakfast -- everything from fry-ups to boiled eggs and soldiers, porridge, croissants and muffins.

The pistachio meringues and rhubarb tart crumble make for terrific dessert.

Unusual for a bakery, the shop sells wine and beer, but only the good stuff -- this is Wimbledon Village, after all.

The Lawn Bakery, 9 High Street, Wimbledon; +44 (0)20 8946 3774

7. Bayley & Sage

You?ll find plenty of ingredients for a gourmet picnic on the Common at this up-market delicatessen, including artisan breads and cheeses, pates, wine and old fashioned lemonade.

For dessert, the hazelnut cannoli and Apolline pastries from the charcuterie counter are especially good.

Bayley & Sage, 60 High St., Wimbledon; +44 (0)20 8946 9904

8. Wimbledon Village Stables

Wimbledon Village StablesBoots, helmets, and lots of fun provided. Taking a riding lesson at this Wimbledon stables is an exciting way to explore the Common. No need to buy or bring along gear: you can hire boots, gloves and helmets.

Wimbledon Village Stables, 24A/B Wimbledon High St., Wimbledon; +44 (0)20 8946 8579

9. The Mint Source

Fragrant soaps, bath oils and hand washes, alongside jewelry, gardening kits and scarves, are among items on sale at this shop in an old artisan?s cottage, which has been likened to an over-stuffed English drawing room.

Jazz plays while you browse.

The Mint Source, 23 Church Road, Wimbledom; +44 (0)20 8944 9580

10. Polka Theatre and New Wimbledon Theatre

Polka is one of the few theaters in the UK to stage plays uniquely for children.

A few minutes? walk to the north, the New Wimbledon Theatre (which opened in 1910) stages crowd-pulling musicals and dance performances.

The standard rivals the West End but without West End prices.

Miley Cyrus Defends Gay Rights Tattoo

Cyrus tweeted a photo of her equal-sign tattoo over the weekend, prompting debate among fans regarding gay rights.
By Jocelyn Vena

Miley Cyrus has never shied away from speaking her mind, and over the weekend she posted a photo of her latest body ink on Twitter: an equal-sign tattoo on her ring finger.

In addition to sharing with the world her pro-gay rights stance via tat, she tweeted the message, "All LOVE is equal." However, the photo quickly prompted a debate on her Twitter account when fans began to respond to Miley's tattoo with mixed feelings.

"Where does it say in the bible to judge others? Oh right. It doesn't," Miley tweeted to one fan who questioned her belief in God after displaying her support of the gay community. "GOD is the only judge honey. GOD is love."

But when her fans began attacking the fan who questioned her, Miley defended her for sharing her opinion with the world. "Dude everyone lay off ... Love u! Everyone is entitled 2 opinions! If u don't stand 4 something you'll fall for anything."

Her Twitter profile shares a similar message: "Let your light shine. Be a source of strength & courage. Share your wisdom. RADIATE LOVE."

This isn't the first time that Miley's sharing her beliefs on Twitter has sparked debate. In a Parade magazine interview in March 2010, Cyrus said that one of the reasons she had quit Twitter for a time was that she was getting angry tweets from fans who didn't agree with her support of gay marriage. She returned to Twitter earlier this year.

"There has been so much controversy sometimes about what I've said or done because I believe there are no mistakes, because God is the only one who can judge us," Cyrus explained. "That's the reason I deleted my Twitter account because I said on there that I believed in gay marriage because everyone should have the right to love each other, and I got such hate mail about my being a bad person."

What do you think of Miley's outspoken support of marriage equality and gay rights? Tell us in the comments.

Brad Pitt Enlists Rihanna, Kanye West For Charity Gala

The party will benefit his Make It Right foundation, which aims to rebuild New Orleans' Lower 9th Ward.

Brad Pitt knows how to throw a party. The Oscar-nominated actor has enlisted the help of Rihanna, her pal Kanye West and many more dazzling stars to appear at a charity gala he's holding in New Orleans to benefit his post-Hurricane Katrina cause, the Make It Right foundation.

Being held at the Hyatt Regency on Saturday, the night will be co-hosted by Pitt and Ellen DeGeneres, and Saints quarterback Drew Brees will co-emcee the music portion of the event. Other guests and performers include Sheryl Crow, Snoop Dogg, Sean Penn, Kevin Spacey, Spike Lee, Blake Lively, Djimon Hounsou, Chris and Jada Paul, Bennett Miller and Randy Jackson, according to E! Shakira Opens EMA Show With Dizzee Rascal

Madrid crowd goes crazy for 'Loca' and 'Waka Waka.'
By Mawuse Ziegbe

The 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards got off to a crazy start, courtesy of a performance from hip-swiveling superstar Shakira.

The Colombian megastar opened the show with her Sale el Sol single "Loca," rallying the crowd with her signature undulating moves. Flanked by two dancers, Shakira hit the Madrid stage in a silvery bra top and fringed harem pants under neon lights. Then British grime rapper Dizzee Rascal joined the singer for his verse on the English version of the track, rocking a simply sleek black jacket and white T-shirt, and getting the crowd amped.

After "Loca," Dizzee retreated backstage as Shakira launched into her global World Cup anthem "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)," a suitable choice for an award show staged in the nation of the world soccer champs. The Spaniards showed their pride throughout the percussion-heavy jam, as mammoth flags rose from various points in the audience, and were waved above the crowd. Swirls of confetti rained on the crowd as Shakira wrapped up her high-energy set.

Her collabo with Dizzee is just one of several brushes with hip-hop the singer has explored in recent years. Shakira told MTV News in 2009 that she was trying to broaden her musical horizons by hooking up with rap artists.

"I'm never going to be a hardcore hip-hop singer," she said. "I come from Colombia, but I think music today ... it's about bringing elements that belong to different universes, even though they're opposed or similar, and making them exist in this big melting pot that the world is today. The world has shrunk, and we're just a big neighborhood, and it's kind of cool."

Shakira's set was the first in a night packed with performances from some of the world's biggest stars. Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Kings of Leon, B.o.B, Ke$ha, Bon Jovi and more all will grace the EMA stage. The night is hosted by "Desperate Housewives" diva Eva Longoria.

The 2010 EMAs air on MTV2 on Sunday (November 7) at 9 p.m. ET, and an edited, performance-heavy version will be broadcast Friday at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.

'Kony 2012' Video Went Viral With Rihanna's Help

'She had been tweeted by her fans en masse, saying you're in this video,' Jedidiah Jenkins of Invisible Children organization tells MTV News.
By Jacob Soboroff

At noon Pacific time last Monday, Jedidiah Jenkins, a member of the nonprofit organization Invisible Children's inner circle, saw the group's 278th YouTube video uploaded and wasn't sure what to expect. Jenkins had written the script to the film, the 30-minute documentary "Kony 2012," about the Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony, and it had been a grind.

"It was really the hardest movie we've ever made" in the nearly decade-long history of the group, he told MTV News in a phone interview from Los Angeles.

The film is now the most viral video ever, with more than 70 million views on YouTube alone in the video's first six days thanks in no small part to an army of young supporters who flexed their power by using social media to drive celebrities and friends to watch and share the video.

Creating online content and distributing it with social media was nothing new for Invisible Children — the group already had 450,000 Facebook friends the night before the video was posted and they've used YouTube to share videos about their cause since 2006 — but the way this video spread was something the group could never have planned.

Jenkins said the group posted the video at noon on Monday and that evening hosted a screening at Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles with celebrities Kristen Bell and Jason Bateman, who took to Twitter at 9:42 p.m., immediately after watching the film.

"We had a strategy to screen it at CAA with the few celebrities we know, get them in the room, make them watch it," Jenkins said. Within the 24 hours that followed, celebrities including comedian Kelly Oxford, Ryan Seacrest, Diddy, Justin Bieber, Oprah and Steve Carrell had tweeted about the video after being notified about it by their fans thanks to a call-to-action in the documentary. Soon enough, Jenkins' phone was ringing off the hook, including a call from Rihanna.

"She had been tweeted by her fans en masse, saying you're in this video," Jenkins recalled. "She just kind of responded and clicked on the link that one of her fans followed. It blew her mind. She tweeted it immediately. One of her music video directors, Anthony Mandler, actually went to Uganda with me to see our programs on the ground in November. Anthony texted her. They conference called me at 11 at night and I missed the call twice, because I was at a late dinner. Three calls in a row means it's an emergency," so Jenkins picked up.

"Anthony said, 'Jed, I have Rihanna on the line. She wants to talk to you.' " Jenkins continued. He recalled the 24-year-old singer saying, "I've never been moved like this, I've never been involved. I want to go big. I want to get involved. I want this to be my thing and I want to blow this up. I want to get kids involved. I'm just responding to my fans. They're so moved by this."

Wherever you land in the debate over the organization's tactics and the film's accuracy, "Kony 2012" is undeniably a social media phenomenon made possible by support from celebrities encouraged to get involved by their young fans. Even CNN's Piers Morgan admitted he first heard about the movement from his 14-year-old son.

As of press time, Invisible Children has nearly 3 million likes on Facebook, and the question remains: What's next for this enormous group of engaged and active young people when so many of their peers are apathetic? Jenkins said the group is considering participating in a voter-registration drive as the 2012 election approaches. But he admitted that first he and his colleagues have to get caught up.

"We couldn't have ever, ever imagined that this would be the fastest viral movement in history," he said. "We are dealing with an unprecedented amount of attention. It's a huge amount of responsibility. It's exhausting. We're excited for the challenge, but it's intimidating too."

Shakira Goes 'Loca' In New Guerrilla-Style Video

The Colombian star roller-skates, hip-shakes and fountain-dives for crazy clip.
By James Montgomery

For nearly two decades now, either due to her multinational leanings (the Colombian's music is as indebted to Latin American rhythms as it is to Arabic dance, Euro disco and red-white-and-blue rock) or because she is sort of insane (see last year's She Wolf album), Shakira has managed to carve out her own, rather indefinable niche in pop music.

On Wednesday (September 29), she premiered the video for "Loca," the first single off her upcoming Sale el Sol album (due October 19). And while it's not exactly a unique artistic endeavor — it echoes sentiments already expressed by the likes of Matt & Kim (in their "Lessons Learned" clip) and Erykah Badu (in her firestormy "Window Seat" vid) — it's still undoubtedly her ... mostly because none of her high-gloss pop contemporaries would ever dare attempt something like it.

Shot run-and-gun style in Barcelona, "Loca" follows Shakira and her crew — which includes a few cameramen and, somewhat improbably, British rapper Dizzee Rascal — on a madcap adventure that includes roller-skating, public wardrobe changes, motorcycle cruising, an illicit hop in a public fountain (a move that landed her in hot, uh, water with local authorities) and, of course, plenty of hip shaking. It's a decidedly guerrilla endeavor that appears to have been done on a budget hovering around zero (aside from a performance scene, the entire thing appears to have been shot on handheld cameras). The Britneys, Beyoncés and Gagas would probably never make something like this ... and yet, here it works, mostly because, well, it just sort of seems like the kind of thing Shakira would do.

For that alone, she deserves to be praised. Because unlike Matt & Kim (or Erykah Badu, really), Shakira has plenty to lose. Her albums are big events, things that resonate across continents, and it would be rather easy (or, at least, expected) for her to come out of the gate with a big-budget, glossy pop video. Instead, we get "Loca," which is none of those things, and is probably better because of that.

And though it features some near-nudity and some illegal activity, the thing that resonates most about the "Loca" video is that none of that bad behavior is played up for shock value. Instead, it all helps match the kinetic, herky-jerky energy of the song itself. "Loca" is the rare video that doesn't attempt to outshine the song it's based on. Instead, it complements it. This is a very lively song, after all, so what better way to capture that than with a very lively video?

There's a calculated madness to the "Loca" video, a vibrant, unchained energy, the kind very few artists can conjure up, no matter how big the budget. And, come to think of it, that's a pretty accurate way of summing up Shakira's entire career. It's called synergy, people.

What do you think of Shakira's "Loca" video? Share your reviews in the comments.

Rihanna Even 'Better At Acting,' 'Battleship' Co-Star Says

Taylor Kitsch also opens up to MTV News about filming his sexiest scene so far in 'Savages.'
By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

No one can ever accuse Taylor Kitsch of slacking off. In addition to heading up the massive release of "John Carter" this week, Kitsch has two more movies headed for theaters before the summer is out.

In his second big-budget action movie of the year, Kitsch will try to sink some alien scum in Peter Berg's "Battleship," based on the classic board game. Always a fan of ironic understatement, Kitsch told Josh Horowitz during MTV First, "Yeah, it was fun."

Through "Battleship," Kitsch not only reunited with Berg, who gave him his breakout role as Tim Riggins in "Friday Night Lights," but he also worked closely with acting legend Liam Neeson. "Liam Neeson is kind of decent. I had to carry Liam on my back," Kitsch joked. "Let's just get that out there." Knowing better, he added, "He's going to eat me for breakfast."

Taking a more serious approach to talking about the movie, Kitsch said he was honored to work with both Neeson and Berg. "[Neeson] is amazing, and so is Pete. It was very flattering for him to come and pitch and talk about 'Battleship' and to regroup with him," Kitsch said. "As you guys know, he was the catalyst in hiring Tim Riggins. I love the guy. He's a dear friend. Again, it is so hard to say 'no' to that guy. This movie will surprise a lot of people."

"Battleship" also marks the big-screen debut for Rihanna, and when forced to say whether her acting talent surpasses his singing skills, Kitsch took a very political approach. "Oh, man. This is a tough one," he said. "This is intense. She's better at acting."

Large action flicks aren't the only tricks Kitsch has up his sleeve this summer. He'll also star in a film from iconic director Oliver Stone called "Savages."

In "Savages," Kitsch plays a pot grower who gets mixed up with the wrong people. The movie should have some of the raciest material Kitsch has had to work with. "There's some sex in there. The opening scene of Chon, pretty intense," he said. "Chon's the guy I play in it. That opening scene, if [Stone] keeps it that way ..."

"Blake Lively plays O, and Aaron Johnson plays Ben, so it's basically these two guys that are in love with this one girl in their own way and will truly do anything for her and to get her back," Kitsch said of the story. "She gets kidnapped quite early in the film, so it's that journey of getting O back. And it's those crossroads that are inevitably met with Benicio del Toro, John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Salma Hayek. Again, on the back.," he joked.

Check out everything we've got on "John Carter" and "Battleship."

For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com.

ET on MTV.

Airborne speed daters set new Guinness World Record

Humanity's most contrived way to hook up just got a little more bizarre

Speed dating just got even more fun.

Or awkward, depending on your a) conversation skills, b) fear of flying.

Partnering with dating site Doing Something, Expedia?s social experiment, ?Holidate,? gave 60 hopeful singles the chance to find love while traveling last week.

Participating daters were chosen from more than 500 applicants across the United Kingdom and Western Europe based on availability and preference of activity.

They took part in four dating experiences in 24 hours to experiment with how different factors affect the dating experience.

Watch the speed dating record video here.

One date was held in a traditional British bar where couples weren't allowed to talk about travel. Another was a repeat of the formula, but with travel topics allowed.

Participants then moved on to a date on a Flybe charter flight to Venice, speed dating on the way, and a final date in Venice based on shared interests, such as boating on the canals and sampling wines.

The June 19 date at an altitude of 35,000 feet also set a Guinness World Record for the world?s highest ever speed date.

?With no distractions, traditional dating can be pretty awkward,? said Matt Jane, CEO of Doing Something, a new dating site aimed at organizing fun speed dates.

?Which is why boring, drink-in-a-pub dates often descend into mini ?interviews.'

Active dates are better for finding common interests, say event organizers. ?We think doing some sort of activity on a date helps people get to know each other more easily.

"It immediately gives people something in common, gives them a distraction, something to talk about. And there?s nothing like breaking a world record as a great talking point for any first date!"

"Travel is a great talking point -- so when Expedia approached us about Holidate it was a perfect fit,? said Jane.

Online travel company Expedia launched the ?Holidate? after a study found that travel is the most popular conversation topic on a first date in the United Kingdom.

It also found that travel is key to attracting a partner -- about one in 10 people lie about their travel histories to impress their dates and a quarter admit to being turned off by a potential date's lack of travel experience.
