Rachael Everitt rode thousands of kilometers to raise money for charity and reclaim her life
Rachael Everitt began her journey many years before she spent four-and-a-half months riding a bicycle from Adelaide to Perth, pedaling across the Nullarbor Plain commentating on isolation, desolation, depression and suicide.
The 36-year-old's epic journey led to her exhibition ?The other side of the Rainbow,? and raised $3,000 for Lifeline, the suicide prevention charity.
But her story of life and determination was inspired by helplessness.
She has considered suicide herself in dark moments and seen her parents teeter on the edge of taking their lives. She has lost friends.
