How to see the best of Singapore in two hours, free of charge

Despite Singapore?s Changi Airport being consistently voted as one of the world?s best in global polls, hanging out there on an extended layover is bound to get old after a while.

For passengers stuck in transit for at least five hours, there?s always the Free Singapore Tour.

As the name suggests, the two-hour tour is free. It?s been around since 1987, but airport officials have just launched an updated version that includes new attractions as well as a brand new night tour.

The revamped Heritage Tour takes visitors on a ride past the usual "must see" attractions of the city: Singapore Flyer; Gardens by the Bay; Marina Bay Sands; Esplanade; Merlion Park; Colonial District; Chinatown; Little India; and the central business district.

This one departs four times a day, at 9a.m., 11:30a.m., 2:30p.m. and 4p.m.
