Lady Gaga Confirms New Album's Title Is ARTPOP

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a>'s fans won't have to wait until September to learn the name of her next release after all. After tweeting out a photo of her <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2012/08/03/lady-gaga-unveils-new-tattoo-pic/">new tattoo, which reads ARTPOP</a>, last week, she took to Twitter over the weekend to confirm that the ink is indeed the name of her 2013 album release.</P><P>"Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details* good morning twitter!" she <a href="https://twitter.com/ladygaga/status/232114376067403776"_blank">wrote</a> on Sunday.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Lady Gaga Has The Title And Concept For Her Next Album" id="vid:717202" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Mother Monster originally revealed her plan to <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">drop the album's title</a> in September back in June before apparently getting antsy and releasing the name a month ahead of schedule. It's a title she's had in mind since MTV News spoke to her last year.</P><P>"I've started writing it and I have the name for it, and all the concepts are <a href="/news/articles/1675458/lady-gaga-next-album.jhtml">beginning to flourish</a> and take place," she said in December. "I'm excited to put it out, but it's not done yet. So I'll put it out when it's done."</P><P>Gaga has been making time to record <i>ARTPOP</i> while on her <i>Born This Way</i> tour. She reportedly enlisted the help of <a href="/news/articles/1690576/lady-gaga-whitesnake-guitarist-doug-aldrich-new-album.jhtml">Whitesnake guitarist Doug Aldrich</a> for the album. The twosome hit the studio with Gaga's longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow in Los Angeles.</P><P>She also recently teased fans with a new song, <a href="/news/articles/1690196/lady-gaga-new-music-car-new-york.jhtml">blasting it out of her car</a> while in New York City. She even implied that the dance track would be the first single from the new album. DJ White Shadow produced the track.</P><P>Gaga has also been playing her new piano-heavy song "Princess Die" while on tour. During one stop, she opened up a bit about her next album. "Let's just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote <i>Born This Way,</i> I demonstrated a sense of maturity," she said. Rihanna Defies Oprah's 'Badass' Expectations in Interview Teaser
In a preview for Oprah's August 19 sit-down with the star, Rihanna opens up about her fear of climbing the ladder of fame.

<P><MTVNLINK type="artist" id="1940303">Rihanna</MTVNLINK> is all about making trips to her Barbados homeland to show some love, and this time she's brought along a familiar face: Oprah.</P><P>And from the looks of a <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVd8EwppORw" target="_blank">clip</a> released online, the two are so familiar that they look like they've been friends for years as they hang around the house. In the teaser for Rihanna's appearance on "Oprah's Next Chapter," which airs August 19 on OWN, the two get even more comfortable than the clothes they're wearing as they if ride through the city and chat before a gorgeous ocean view deck.</P><P><iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uVd8EwppORw?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></P><P>"I went there with my own ideas of who she was by watching the videos and listening to her music," Oprah says in the clip's opening scene. "I thought she was going to be kind of a badass, kind of a hard-edged rocker/pop woman. Nothing could have been farther from the truth."</P><P>As it turns out, the pop titan opened up completely with Oprah about her fear of climbing the ladder of fame, getting emotional at times.</P><P>"I'm super-duper afraid of the pedestal that comes with fame," Rihanna says, before admitting her loneliness.</P><P>Cameras followed the pair as they drove to the singer's old neighborhood (with Rihanna behind the wheel) and interacted with the locals. As if she was stripped of her fame, Oprah tells viewers that she was surprised at how low-key the visit was. "It wasn't like a big superstar, megastar, pop star had arrived in the neighborhood, it was just run in as though she had gone to the grocery store and came back."</P><P><i>Will you tune into Rihanna's appearance on "Oprah's Next Chapter"? Congrats!!!"</P><P>Justin Bieber apparently enjoyed the matchup between Spain and the Netherlands, <a href="http://twitter.com/justinbieber/status/18301837091/" target="_blank">tweeting,</a> "wow...SPAIN!! great game...nothing to be ashamed of." The Spanish team may have reigned victorious but the Canadian teen showed love to the Netherlands as well. Since its construction from around 540 B.C., it?s been hard to miss the Temple of Apollo in Corinth, about 50 miles southwest of the Greek capital of Athens.
That is, if you happened to be visiting during the day.
That changed on Saturday when the popular tourist attraction was lit up at night for the first time.

McDonald?s has changed the name of some of its restaurants to ?Macca's,? the nickname used by many Australians for the fast-food chain.
The marketing ploy coincides with the lead up to the national Australia Day holiday on January 26.
According to local media, signage was changed on 13 outlets countrywide earlier this month and will remain in place until February 4.

Gaga sits in the backseat of an SUV as fans call the track "amazing." The 38-second clip ends with the Mother Monster driving away from her fans.</P><P>Could it be the song that will knock Jepsen from her lofty perch? Only time will tell.</P><P>Gaga will <a href="/news/articles/1686922/lady-gaga-new-album-title.jhtml">reveal the name</a>
 of her new album in September. Last week she hinted that the first song off the LP is produced by longtime collaborator DJ White Shadow, who worked with Gaga on <I>Born This Way</I> singles "Born This Way" and "The Edge of Glory."</P>
